Which Hoover carpet cleaner is the best? The Hoover Smartwash FH52000 carpet deep cleaner is among best lightweight pet carpet cleaner available in the market.
Though fairly expensive compared to other carpet cleaners, it offers you exceptional quality and performance that makes it really worth the price tag. It is an effective long-term investment that will always leave your carpet smelling fresh and looking as good as new. It scored 94 points out of 100 in my testing for a deep clean pet stains on carpet.
After using it, I was really happy that it performed better than imagined. And the solution tank, on the back side, outlasted the entire room I did. Normally I’d have to refill the solution tank at least 3 times. But this machine mixes the correct amount. Saving money on solution is nice! I also love the dry only mode, with heat, so I can dry the carpet faster.
Normally my carpets are wet for 2 hours. They were dried in under 30 minutes with this machine. Granted, I did several passes in dry mode, either direction, to ensure most water was picked up.
The cleaning is easy and not a hassle. The piece that holds the brushes, wash that off, and dry it. Dont let it sit wet, cos it has metal. Other than that, nothing to the cleaning. Maneuver is easy. Like a lightweight vacuum.[su_link_ads key=”B07DTKXTXV”]

Which is better Bissell or Hoover carpet cleaners?
On ours testing, in the same price range Bissell Proheat 2x Revolution Pet Pro is a better option as Hoover SmartWash. The first, both of these carpet cleaners operate with the same basic principals in mind, they both use the relatively new two brushroll design, and they are both designed to be really easy to use, operating much like a regular vacuum cleaner.
They both also come with a easily attachable hose though the Bissell’s is slightly longer at 10 ft to the hoovers 8 ft. On my testing to clean stains on medium pile carpet, The Bissell 2x did amazingly well which was expected since it was the overall winner of our previous multi carpet cleaner test.
The Hoover Smartwash also did really well, but since it does not have a water trigger but instead automatically switches from spraying water on the forward push to dry vacuuming on the reverse pull.
The Hoover Smartwash also did incredibly well after the first short test but not quite as good as the Bissell. Though I should mention that the Hoovers performance was certainly well above average for carpet cleaners, just not as good as the Bissell.
The Bissell Proheat 2x revolution also has a feature called clean shot which sprays the cleaning solution directly on the stains by pressing the foot pedal, while a little messy this certainly gives it a big advantage over the Hoover though I did not use the feature until the after the first test though.
The final tally definelty showed that the Bissell cleaned the carpet better. I personally did not like the Hoover Smartwashes automatic water dispensing, and much prefer the Bissells manual water trigger to dispense water.
Mainly because when you try to go very slow on the Hoover, like you should when cleaning tough stains it keeps switching back to dry mode, you have to go forward farily quickly to make sure the water is dispensed.
The Hoover also has a slightly shorter power cord at 22’ to the Bissells 25’. So while these machines represent a huge advancement in carpet cleaning technology and I would be proud to own either one, the Bissell Proheat 2x Revolution pet pro is in my opinion an obviously better choice than the Smartwash.
With budget under $250 Hoover smartwash fh52000 feels like it is self propelled forward and easy to pull back and carpet dries quickly. I Had old pet stains and had tried to get out in past without success. After using this machine, the carpet looks brand new.
The Hoover is lighter & gets under things better by design. The Rug Doctor is slightly heavier duty, takes less passes to get heavy soils out. The Hoover really helps cleaning it up after the job with quick removal brushes, the clean out is easier & faster.
The Rug Doctor has to go to the tub and washed out from the bottom, harder to extract built up pet hair in the guide bar and the business area where the roller is. And worse, it’s easy to get water hosed up into the motor area. Overall both are great machines, the Hoover is a newer design and wins because it is more user friendly.
